Chapter 849 Four Pillars: Concept Impartation (1)

Seeing that Sellifer had really made up her mind to do a Concept Impartation with him, Valyr nodded in response as he calmed himself down.

"So… is there anything I need to do in preparation?"

"Not much," replied Sellifer, making a few gestures with her hands as she summoned part of the power she held.

Whoosh!

Within seconds, strands upon strands of energy manifested around Sellifer, with many of them taking on different colors during the process.

"In your case, all you have to do is to first keep all of your senses fully open." Continuing to manipulate the strands she had conjured, a slight pained expression appeared on her face as she spoke.

"Aside from that… always keep a close eye on your path."

"Though I'll make sure to refine my comprehensions behind the concepts I've understood to become pure, there would undoubtedly still be a few remnants here and there that are fully aligned with my current path."

Saying these words, Sellifer flashed an apologetic smile at Valyr, only to receive a question from the latter back.

"Now that I think about it, aren't you sacrificing a chunk of your own understandings while doing this?" asked the young man, bringing up a part of the information he recalled regarding the entire thing as he stared directly into Sellifer's eyes.

"Now that I think about it, aren't you sacrificing a chunk of your own understandings while doing this?" asked the young man, bringing up a part of the information he recalled regarding the entire thing as he stared directly into Sellifer's eyes.

Hearing the question, Sellifer paused for a bit to look at Valyr for a brief moment before eventually nodding. "That would be the case."

"After all, it's not like the heavens would allow someone to enhance one's intent without giving up something return… unless if you're like a high-ranked deity probably."

Shrugging her shoulders, she then continued. "In any case, my comprehension is already at the level of a Lesser Law."

"Cutting off a small chunk of it to make sure your Intent Seeds become fully-fledged Intents isn't really too much of a problem."

However, just as she said that to the young man, a pained expression appeared on Sellifer's face as a wisp of iridescent energy flew out from the forehead.

"Still hurts every single time," muttered the woman as she admired what she had pulled out for a bit.

Then, with great agility and control, she began to split the wisps of iridescent energy to nigh-indivisible parts.

Imposing her will on the environment surrounding her, she then infused the wisps of energy into the strands of energy she had gathered before.

Matching up the specific parts of the wisps to the strands that seemingly resonated with them, an otherworldly aura began to fill the young man's surroundings, all of them stemming from what Sellifer was trying to create.

Fortunately, it did not take long for her to go through the creation process, forming what looked to be a sword with multiple branches on it within what felt like 10 minutes or so.

Focusing his attention on the sword made out of strands and wisps of Sellifer's own energy, Valyr then watched the woman grab the sword by the hilt, only to infuse more of her power to it not long after.

Swoosh!

Within seconds, the sword began to emit iridescent light in response, making the young man feel as if he had entered an area that housed all of the concepts one would possibly comprehend throughout their whole life.

"Hyah!" Without hesitation, Sellifer slashed outward, cutting out a part of the darkness surrounding them that surprisingly caused an absurd reaction in response.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Keeping both of his eyes trained on the rift that Sellifer had opened thanks to the sword, Valyr watched the rift gradually expand before his very eyes, sensing that the aura of concepts being emanated by the blade had become stronger by a few notches.

Though, with how the rift was still in the midst of expanding, the entire process took quite some time.

In fact, with how long the process took, Valyr eventually began to feel his Intent Seeds resonate with the aura of concepts the blade generated.

Realizing that this might be the part where the Concept Impartation began, the young man slowly closed his eyes and focused on the sensation surrounding him.

At the same time, he began to expand his senses outwards, focusing on the parts that resonated with him the most.

Seeing that Valyr was already beginning his attempts at improving his Intent Seeds before the true Concept Impartation even began, a faint smile adorned Sellifer's face as she decided to slash out at the rift once more with the blade.

Swoosh!

With there being more force behind the rift, the rift swiftly grew in size, prompting the aura of concepts the blade she wielded to undergo extreme metamorphosis.

"Hup!" Plunging her blade into the rift, Sellifer then retrieved the blade in one fell swoop, surprisingly dragging along something that left Valyr with no choice but to his eyes from the sensation he got.

"What the…" Staring at the large tree of connections carved on a large stone stele that had appeared from beyond the rift, the young man was left at a loss for words as the aura of concepts the thing emanated was at least multiple times stronger than the one generated by the blade.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed from being bombarded by the comprehension of what felt like multiple concepts at once, Valyr shifted his gaze towards Sellifer, who quickly understood what was going on in Valyr's mind from mere gaze alone.

Whoosh!

Sensing that the feeling had become more subdued than before, the young man let out a faint sigh of relief as he continued to look at Sellifer for answers.

"What you see before you is a corner containing most, if not all of the universe's truths," explained Veldanyr in response, prompting the young man to focus his attention on the multiple runes that surrounded the stone.

"Though there's nothing stopping you from comprehending the other possible Intents you could obtain from the corner, once again, this impartation only shows the greatest effect if the receiver was using it to improve a similar type of concept that they too had comprehended.

Nodding in response after that, Valyr closed his eyes for a bit as he tried to sense a signal that felt similar to the two Intent Seeds that he seemed to be mainly using so far.

Fortunately, it did not take long for him to get a response back, with parts of the stone stele beginning to glow both black and blue in response.

Sensing that these parts of the stele seemed to be slowly infusing him with the information necessary to improve his Intent Seeds, the young man took in a deep breath to calm himself down before focusing his attention to the matter at hand.

'Let us begin.'
